“To become truly great, one has to stand with people, not above them”
–Charles de Montesquieu
Dear parents, students, brothers, sisters, and the surrounding community,
My name is Edward Kim and I am proud to be the National Board President for Xi Kappa Fraternity, Inc. Throughout the years of our existence, we have strived to provide both schools and communities within the state of Georgia with outstanding members of society. Whether small or big, the impact we have always sought to impart has persistently focused on representing ourselves as men of excellence, as leaders, as supporters, as brothers, and most importantly, as fellow community members.
As Xi Kappa continues to grow in major and minor increments, we continually seek ways in which we may provide a beneficial impact to any community. While we remain an Asian-interest fraternity, our goal has been to do what we can, whenever we can, for whoever we can. Even though we are only in Georgia, we are always looking out for new opportunities—to branch out and forge new relationships with other schools and organizations.
One of the greatest facets of this fraternity I personally take pride in is our sense of the word brotherhood. The bonds that hold our brotherhood together remain as strong, if not stronger, than the bonds that tied our founding fathers together; we strive to strengthen these bonds every day through every action. It is through these bonds that we, as brothers, strive together to uplift ourselves, the communities around us, and Xi Kappa as an entity. Where we make mistakes, successes most certainly follow. Where we commit to a cause, we persevere until the end.
Our goals this year and the coming years will be to expand our influence with colleges and communities in positive, valuable ways. We will seek to increase the ranks of our brotherhood, so that a multitude of college students can experience the brotherhood that Xi Kappa brothers have come to love. We will strive to be a positive presence in any and every endeavor we partake in. As men of excellence, we will push to lift others as well as ourselves, so that we can grow to become stronger, wiser, and better.
Please feel free to look through our website or even contact the National Board and the active chapters to get a better idea of what Xi Kappa stands for. Just as it is with life, being an Asian Greek is a continually evolving learning experience and we hope that you may be a part of our growth as we look towards a strong future and great opportunities. Thank you and I hope great opportunities and fortune await all of you this year!
